I'm 30 episodes into a horror movie review podcast. The first 30 have been pretty movie centered but during editing I'm finding the clips of my friends and I just bs-ing the more interesting segments. I still want to use movies to guide the themes and stories we talk about but I want to shorten the movie talk from 75% to maybe 25%.

So I've tried a few automated transcription services (Otter, Descript) and although they are ok, they still require a lot of manual input. Maybe due to the fact that we have two host, maybe be - actually, why doesn't matter.

I finally looked at my download numbers 30 days after launch.

I was challenged by my first guest on my latest podcast to not look at the download numbers for 30 days, with the premise being they're not a useful metric & can add stress onto something that should be a fun endeavour - so I didn't.
