What is tokens in theology?

Tokens dares to do theology in public, around supposedly non-theological topics like society and politics, whether (or how) to be happy, habits and human flourishing; and music, books, the arts, and poetry. We refuse to be overbearing, while also not pretending like most people don’t care about faith, theology, and the traditions that form us. We promise to be non-partisan – neither right nor left nor even necessarily religious. This is another way of saying we commit to extending hospitality to those with divergent voices and convictions, welcoming poets and authors, theologians and activists, scientists and educators, musicians and writers and even politicians.

Who is the poet who wrote the book Shaking Hands?

A conversation with Irish poet, peace-maker and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama, on practices of peace-making, along with readings from “The Facts of Life,” “The Pedagogy of Conflict,” and “Shaking Hands.”

Who is the author of S3E2?

S3E2: Science, Faith, and Einstein: Alister McGrath. An interview with world-renowned theologian and Oxford professor Alister McGrath on the supposedly hostile relationship between science and faith, and how Einstein undermined McGrath’s former atheism.

Who is Karen Korematsu?

In light of the recent rise of anti-Asian-American hostility and violence, we interview Dr. Karen Korematsu, daughter of famed civil-rights activist Fred Korematsu, the namesake of the infamous 1944 Supreme Court Case Korematsu v. United States. Mr. Korematsu, a Japanese-American and American citizen, refused to comply with President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s executive order which would have forced his re-location to an American “concentration camp.” In addition, we talk to Korean-born activist Eugene Cho, on his moving experiences as an American immigrant. Plus, live musical performances by Buddy Greene and the Most Outstanding Horeb Mountain Boys.
