Why does Conrad call his shows "family"?

because Conrad, if he isn't busy whimpering over Cornette calling baby doll fat 40 years ago, would never say anything bad about anybody unless they are in prison, dead, or otherwise unable to respond. instead, his go to move is to passive aggressively sic his brainde ad fanbase on somebody for not liking his shows. of course he calls them his ad free shows "family". because all families require a monthly subscription fee, right?

Is Studcast an Arcadian project?

The Studcast started out as a non-Arcadian Vanguard project, Fuller just had a crappy co-host and no structure to it. After Last and Bowdren, he's back to having a co-host of his own, and a much better one than the first one, plus he's been running his own Patreon so he's pretty much been semi-autonomous already.
