Morning After barely coming up short in Minnesota

It was an entertaining game. But, the Hurricanes came up a goal short in a 3-2 loss in Minnesota. Carolina made two mistakes early in the third period that led to Wild goals and not even a great game from Andrei Svechnikov could bring them even. Andrei's 19th and 20th goals of the season were all the Canes could get in the setback.

Morning After completing the Boston purchase (Canes own Bruins)

The Hurricanes battled through a really tough first period with a 1-0 lead. Then they hit the accelerator and raced away from Boston, 6-0. The Canes sweep the Bruins 3-0-0 in the season series, outscoring them 16-1. Sebastian Aho scored 2 goals. Andrei Svechnikov and Teuvo Teravainen each had 3-point nights.

Morning After Antti Raanta made the Devils say 'uncle'

Antti Raanta helped the Hurricanes steal two points from the Devils. Half of his 24 saves came in the 2nd period, including 3 absolute gems, as the Hurricanes held on for a 2-1 win. Raanta hadn't started a game since New Year's Day in Columbus but you'd never know it based on his performance.

Canes shootout their way to two points in Ottawa

The Hurricanes weren't bad, but after the first they probably weren't the better team. But, they ARE the better team and Nino Niederreiter got them even with a hard-working goal late in the 3rd period. Then Andrei Svechnikov and Freddie Andersen got them across the finish line in the shootout for a 3-2 win over the Senators.
