It seems like every time I go and watch any documentary or other piece of media about this case, the Watts family is always described as "having it all." Shannan and Chris had the "perfect life" and "perfect marriage" looking in from the outside according to these sources.

I was listening to a new podcast by YouTuber Armchair Detective (AD). If you're unaware of him, he's covered the Watts murders almost every single day since that fateful Monday. His narrative is essentially that the murders were part of a bigger plan, created and executed by NK. Chris was involved, but only as a patsy for NK.

Apparently Lana is blaming J4J for her failure to set up the non-profit to help raise funds for the lawyers they obtained in Colorado (Fisher & Byrialsen). This non profit was supposed to fund the 35 (c) post conviction relief of Chris Watts, which was based on the claim that his was either a false or coerced confession.

Why was the FBI involved in this case?

I am not implying by any means that the FBI's heavy involvement in this case was nefarious or some sort of conspiracy.
