What is the mission of the evolving faith?

Evolving Faith exists to cultivate love and hope in the wilderness, pointing fellow wanderers and misfits to God as we embody resurrection for the sake of the world.

Who is Rachel Held Evans?

One of the original co-creators of Evolving Faith, Rachel Held Evans was a New York Times best-selling author whose books include Faith Unraveled, A Year of Biblical Womanhood, Searching for Sunday, and Inspired. Hailing from Dayton, Tennessee—home of the famous Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925—she wrote about faith, doubt, and life in the Bible Belt. Rachel was featured in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Christianity Today, Slate, The Huffington Post, The CNN Belief Blog, and on NPR, the BBC, CBC Radio, People, The Today Show, and The View. She served on President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and kept a busy schedule speaking at churches, conferences, and colleges and universities around the country. Rachel is survived by her husband, Dan Evans, and their two children, her sister and her family, her parents, an extended family and many friends along with the millions of lives to whom her life, work, and ministry made a difference. We all miss her every single day.
