Gayish is an LGBT+ podcast that "bridges the gap between sexuality and actuality". Hosts Mike Johnson and Kyle Getz talk about gay (and lesbian and bi and trans and straight) stereotypes they fit into, ones they don't, and everything in between.

Now, not only did I take a listen to some of the episodes, (there are now 175) I got to interview the two hosts, Mike Johnson and Kyle Getz.Jun 2, 2020

Full Answer

Gayish: 262 Decluttering

As voted on by our Gap Bridgers, we talk about a common New Year’s resolution, decluttering, including the “science” of straight men vs. gay men’s organizational skills, Tim Gunn vs. Marie Kondo, decluttering Mike’s dildo collection, and Truman Capote.

Gayish: 261 Betty White

Betty White said, “The gay community seems to like old ladies. They always have.” And yes, Betty, it’s true, but we loved you.

Gayish: 257 Gingers

Can stereotypes be fun without being harmful? Is the Red Hot calendar good, bad, or fetish? What about Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Lindsay Lohan, Elton John, Willow, and that dude who hosts ‘RISK!’? Bring on the gingers (and the lesbian bars)!

Gayish: 256 Dungeons & Dragons II

As part of Redo-cember, we’re talking about Dungeons & Dragons! Again! But for real this time. We’ll talk about Gary Gygax’s problematic son, LGBTQ representation in The Adventure Zone, and surprisingly personal experiences of the joys and sorrows of playing D&D. Thanks to Gap Bridger Zackery Cochran for requesting this topic!

Gayish: 255 Things Kyle Likes

As a counterpoint to episode 244, we're talking all about things Kyle likes, including: a popular hazelnut spread, the phrase “no homo,” a less-but-not-completely-non-homophobic pizza chain, and taking the attention off himself. Thanks to Gap Bridger Steve Douglas for requesting this topic!

Gayish: 254 Laundry

We’ll wear this episode for two weeks, work out and sweat in it, then mail it to you in a plastic bag.
