What is I Weigh podcast about?

What started as a social media post has become a mental health movement, and now a podcast. On I WEIGH, Jameela Jamil challenges societal norms through conversations with thought-leaders, performers, activists, influencers, and friends about their own experiences and stories with their mental health.

What is the I weigh movement?

In March 2018, she launched an Instagram account called I Weigh, as 'a movement… for us to feel valuable and see how amazing we are, and look past the flesh on our bones. ' Next to this, the actress often comments on celebrities and platforms that promote unrealistic beauty and body-size standards.

Why do I weigh more than I look?

Muscle is denser than fat, and as it is more compact within your body, as you gain muscle mass, you end up looking thinner, no matter your physical weight. So, if you've been doing a lot of strength training lately, it's likely this is the reason that you're looking fantastic but not dropping those numbers.
