Each day, Trainor is motivated by her son, Riley. “I used to say my parents, and now I say my son, that’s crazy,” she said. “As soon as I had my baby, I was inspired to become a better person, and I am doing that for him. Ever since more opportunities have come my way since my baby.”

Trainor announced her new podcast, “Workin’ On It,” that she will co-host alongside her brother and best friend, Ryan Trainor. The podcast will premiere on Wednesday, September 15th, and will see the dynamic duo take on a new topic each week, share their stories, and bring listeners into the conversation.

On being an artist in the digital age, Trainor said, “It’s awesome, especially during the pandemic. We are learning more ways to be creative and get our music out there. Streaming platforms give people more locations to find your music, and I think that’s awesome.”

Regarding her career-defining moments, Trainor said, “Winning the Grammy Award for ‘Best New Artist’ was a big one because it showed me that my peers and everyone who voted saw me as the face of my own music. That was a game-changer for me, and it was the best moment.”
