Podcast Movement 2019 is an annual conference for podcasters and the podcast industry. Whether you’re just getting started or you’re an industry veteran, we’ve got over 100 sessions and events designed just for you.
1. Castos Enterprise Podcast Summit
The Enterprise Podcast Summit, hosted by Castos along with other industry-leading companies in the podcast space, is a free, single-day workshop featuring three live sessions plus a wide array of resources to equip companies with the tools and knowledge they need to take the leap into the world of podcasting.
2. Podcast Movement
Podcast Movement’s goal is to bring together and educate active and aspiring podcasters and industry professionals. They want to grow the podcast community and industry as a whole. They host the world’s largest podcast events and conferences that include over 10,000 podcasters from 35 countries.
3. Independent Podcast Conference
The Independent Podcasters Conferences originally started as a Facebook group for indie podcasters who live in the aid-Atlantic states. Their goal was to bring podcasters together for meet ups, Google Hangouts, and eventually conferences.
4. Hot Docs Podcast Festival
Hot Docs is Canada’s “annual celebration of audio storytelling.” This year it features exclusive conversations with Samantha Bee, Ira Glass, NPR’s Invisibilia, execs from Acast, Amazon, CBC, Canadaland, Serial Productions Stitcher, WNYC, and more.
5. Africa Podcast Day 2022
Africa Podcast Day is an annual podcasting event that showcases the best podcasting in Africa. 2022’s theme is “Podcasting is Freedom.” The organization works to share African voices and grow the podcasting industry in Africa. This event is online and free. Podcasters in Africa can attend as a guest or submit a session idea .
6. VO Atlanta Voiceover Conference
Voiceover Atlanta is a conference specifically for voice actors, agents, producers, and directors. It’s a four-day event that offers learning, networking, and lots of socializing opportunities. There are scheduled and open activities. 2022 is the last year for this voiceover event, so catch it while you can.
7. Podcast Movement: Evolutions
Evolutions is basically three events in one, each with a heavy focus on the latest innovations and evolutions in the industry and technology. Each event is tailored to your stage in the podcasting industry: Creator, professional podcaster, or industry professional.
1. Podthon
This virtual conference promises to feature informative and insightful presentations from podcasters all over the world.
2. Podcast Movement
This conference began as a simple idea, and quickly turned into a, well, movement.
3. ROCKNPOD
The ROCKNPOD event is one that brings together “rock fans, artists, podcasters, and vendors” to remind the world that rock is not dead. More concert and meet and greet than podcast conference, it is still a great networking opportunity for podcasters that are in the rock and roll niche.
5. Podfest Multimedia Expo
Podfest was initiated in 2013, and quickly grew into a community of audio and video enthusiasts that are passionate about sharing their message through these mediums. The most popular names in podcasting have spoken at at least one of their events ranging from small meetups to full scale multi-day conferences.
6. Evolutions
Created by the same organizers that brought you the original Podcast Movement Conference, and launched in 2020, Evolutions is best for podcasters that have already created their shows.
7. She Podcasts Live
Created for female podcasters, this is like BlogHer for women who deliver content via their microphones instead of a blog. The inaugural “She Podcasts Live” conference was held in October 2019, and “is the largest in-person gathering of women podcasters, audio content creators, story tellers, and more.”
8. Afros & Audio Podcast Festival
This conference and community was created for and founded “by black podcast creatives and audio professionals.” Their goal is to transform the podcast industry and give every black podcaster the opportunity to let their voice be heard.
