Who is Kristin Bolan?
Kristin Bolan helps make it happen as a Production Assistant at AMR (2019) and as the Executive Assistant at Project 562 (2018). She is humbled and grateful to further actualize the team’s visions for Indigenous futures creating an equitable world where the dignity and worth of all peoples and communities are respected and celebrated. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors’ in Social Work and minor in Art; for seven years she worked as an intensive case manager and helped reunite families through her groundbreaking trauma-informed work with Milwaukee County Family Drug Treatment Court. In 2015 Kristin and her cat Frida left the Midwestern winters for the beautiful Coast Salish in Seattle. She loves to create pysanky (Ukrainian eggs) and tie dyes; a couple times a week year-round you can find her swimming in the Salish Sea.
Who is Matika Wilbur?
Matika Wilbur belongs to the Swinomish and Tulalip people. She is a full time photographer, filmmaker and writer. In 2012, she sold everything, and hit the road for Project 562. Who is Lindsey Hightower?
Lindsey Hightower (Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo) is an undergraduate student at Harvard currently conducting research on a gap year. She is investigating the interplay between the microbiome and gene regulation using squid as a model organism at the Kewalo Marine Lab.
Who is Adrienne Keene?
Adrienne Keene is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and is a writer, Twitter person, and an Assistant Professor of American Studies and Ethnic Studies at Brown University. She is the creator and author of Native Appropriations, a blog that discusses representations of Indigenous peoples in popular culture, where she’s been writing scathing take downs of Urban Outfitters since 2010. Her hobbies include watching The Great British Baking Show, embracing her vocal fry, and growing her collection of (authentic) ndn bling until it takes over her entire house.
Will they be two spirit?
Will (he/they) is American Indian Two-Spirit and belongs to the Navajo and Blackfeet nations. He grew up in the gorgeous suburb of Lake Tapps, WA - Coast Salish territory. In spring 2020 he completed a double major in Native American Studies and Sociology with a minor in Spanish at Stanford University.
