The number of episodes doesn't matter as much as the quality of your content, consistency of your schedule, and interaction with listeners through iTunes. How long does it take for you to make an episode of your podcast?

Our podcast has no seasons. It’s year round. The important thing is to be consistent when you upload your podcast and make it available to your audience. If you upload a show every Tuesday, make sure you do it every Tuesday at the same time.

For Drama or action shows, they tend to have smaller seasons but longer episodes so maybe an episode length of 45 minutes to 1.5 hours and they might have smaller seasons of 6 to 10 episodes.
