329: The Sky is the Limit

Feeling angelic? Well, even if you don’t, we’ll make you feel like you’ve got wings! …. that was cheesy….. But seriously, we’re fixing characters this week! And our target is the ever flyin’ X-Man ANGEL! He’s been a character that, as we say right at the start, has often been the blandest of the X-Men.

327: KRAKAKOOM!

The lightning strikes once again! Last week was a longer episode, so this week it’s all random rapid-fire topics! We’re pit in a fight-inventing grudgematch between Prince Robot IV and Wolfsbane, under caaa-raz y circumstances, and we decide the victor! We recast “The Eternals” with the great comedy actors of literally any era! Batman: Soul of the Dragon is a movie we think you should watch… now! Bry quizzes us with which Spider-Verse variants are real or fake! Kyle gets in on the quiz game as we have to guess if a list of characters were alive or dead in the year 2000! And then Merk steals the quizmaster crown to test our knowledge about what bizarre Defenders villains existed or not! All this and… wait, no, that’s it.

326: Not Just Pouches and other Image Comics 30th Anniversary Observations

Can you believe it’s been 30 YEARS since the birth of Image Comics? Either can we…. but we accepted it and moved on….. moved on to talking about Image Comics! Talking about who formed this indie powerhouse and where they went after that. Are they all still there? Do they still work in comics? Do they buy million dollar baseballs? So many questions.

325: Eternally Yours

Did you know that Marvel put out an Eternals movie? No, really! It was in, like, October or something? Anyway, to celebrate it being out on streaming now, we’re joined by our good friend Ryan Mackett to talk about it! Did we like it? Did we think you should see it? Is it… essential… to see it? We kind of answer that!

324: REBCAST! (The Reb Brown Podcast)

Resurrecting seemingly-dead franchises and series is all the rage these days, from Snyder finally getting his Cut, to returning Batmen, Spider-Men and Supermen, to fan campaigns to bring back old favourites as far as the eye can read! We have a chat about this trend and what it means for fandom and creativity, but then get a whole lot less critical as we pitch a bunch of other revivals we may actually see, considering how things are going! We’ve got an All-Punishers Squad! A House of Constantines! The return of REB BROWN! And more! More!!.

321: Dracula vs. the Christmas Vampire Goat

It’s that wonderful holiday season once again! And once again… it’s kind of a weird one.

320: The Mole Man and The Pole Man

It’s that time o’ the season and the boys love to make up their own comic stories…. so …. it’s time for Christmas Comics Pitch! Each of them come up with their own weird and wonderful comic book for the season.
